Vampire Clay Derivation Dir. Soichi Umezawa

Vampire Clay 2

Kakame, the possessed clay monster begins terrorizing the people again.

“Fans of the first Vampire Clay are in for a treat with Soichi Umeza’s follow up Vampire Clay Derivation. While narratively the film is more or less a re-hash of the first, the special effect wizardry of Umeza only gets more chaotic and disturbing. So over the top and oh so much fun! ” Adam

The Beach House Dir. Jeffrey A. Brown

The Beach House 2020 horror

A romantic getaway for two troubled college sweethearts turns into a struggle for survival when unexpected guests – and the surrounding environment – exhibit signs of a mysterious infection.

Jeffrey A. Brown’s feature film debut is the eco-horror/cosmic horror film that I’ve been waiting for. Part hangout movie, and part bonkers existential horror, The Beach House lulls you into a false sense of security as we chill with a pretty smart protagonist and some company. The day after, all hell breaks lose and doesn’t stop until the final shot. – Dustin

I’d actually forgotten this one was from this year!(it’s been a long year…)It disappointed a lot of people because it didn’t do more with its concept. It impressed me because it did so much with very little resources! – Luke

A nice little piece of cosmic horror, a wonderful slow build with some really great gross out body horror moments. Impressive! – Adam

Never Hike in the Snow Dir. Vincente DiSanti

Never Hike ALone

3 months prior to the events of  Never Hike Alone(2017) that follows the strange disappearance of Mark Hill, a Crystal Lake resident who went for a hike in the dead of winter and never came home.

Easily overshadowing pretty much all of the studio entries into the Friday the 13th franchise this is the best kind of nostalgia rush for Jason fans. It’s also free on YouTube, all it will cost you is your time and your time is well worth spending here – Luke

His House Dir. Remi Weeks

His House Remi Weeks

A refugee couple makes a harrowing escape from war-torn South Sudan, but then they struggle to adjust to their new life in an English town that has an evil lurking beneath the surface.

A gripping and unrelenting UK indie horror out now on Netflix. Shining an unflinching light on the realities of Sudanese refugees seeking asylum in the UK. What’s worse? War? Racism? Or African water wizard grudge ghosts following you across the continents? Have fun guessing with this gritty flick. – Kanto

His House recreates the anxiety and uncertainty of settling into a new surrounding without any support. two asylum seekers are released into provided social housing in England. The house is not as it seems and this only amplified from an alien culture along with a seemingly hostile if not indifferent outside world. The supreme acting, which is complemented from the fantastic Matt Smith, has this as a tense drama combining their isolation into a new environment with unexpected horrors. – Thomas

Underwater Dir. William Eubank

A crew of oceanic researchers working for a deep sea drilling company try to get to safety after a mysterious earthquake devastates their deepwater research and drilling facility located at the bottom of the Mariana Trench.

Solid thriller with excellent acting. I’d heard it compared to Alien, and while it doesn’t necessarily reach that lofty status, it stands out as one of the superior films of its kind. It also serves as a great reminder that Kristen Stewart is actually an excellent actress. – Eden

The depths scare me, ever since I was little the idea of what actually dwells underneath where we cant see kept little anxious Adam awake many nights. That said, this movie speaks to those fears in a way I adore, a chilling exploration of otherworldly horror from deep within the ocean. – Adam
